No such thing as away

I live and work near the ocean, where I'm constantly struck by the beauty of the landscape and water, juxtaposed with the stark reality of human impact on the environment. Our relentless consumption is generating an overwhelming amount of excess that's suffocating. We throw away our trash and shed possessions when done with them. Where does everything we leave behind really go? We think it can be hidden but it is always there, surrounding us. There's no such thing as "away" — it all ends up somewhere.

My work is as much about the journey and the creative process as it is about the final product. I challenge the boundaries between reality and abstraction, transforming ordinary objects into something more. While the atmosphere may seem idyllic at first glance, a closer inspection reveals deeper layers of truth and complexity.
